WHAT IS THE BEST ADVICE YOU HAVE EVER RECEIVED AND WHY?
When you come to the edge of all of the light you know and are about to step into the darkness of the unknown... Faith is knowing that one of two things will happen. There will be solid ground to stand on or you will be taught how to fly.

I don't remember the first time I read this, but it resonates with me deeply and I have it posted next to my computer screen. Really, the only thing certain in this life is uncertainty (hello 2020). Knowing that there will be solid ground or we will be taught how to fly is critical to our resilience, our grit, our gratitude, our faith in something bigger than ourselves. And, these qualities are critical to our success and well-being.

WHO HAS INSPIRED YOU AND WHY?
My grandfather. He was my hero and my rock. He told me once in a lifetime opportunities only come up every so often….so always go get them.

He lived life with passion, kindness, deep compassion, love, and vigor. His family always came first. He was deeply committed to his many friends and his community. He treated everyone with kindness and respect, no matter their lot in life. He never went to an airport without a coat and tie or without bumping into someone he knew.

He was love and light. And, he would always remind us, “now go flourish.”

WHAT IS THE ONE PIECE OF ADVICE YOU COULD SHARE WITH OUR READERS TO UPLIFT THEM IN LIFE AND CAREER?
I love this success formula (from the Human Potential Institute): Success = Clarity + Focus + Plan + Passion + Resilience + Good Fortune + Gratitude.

I would also add another one of my favorite quotes, "We must be willing to give up the lives we've planned for the one that's waiting for us." The miracles of life are bountiful if we are open to receiving them!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BOOK AND HOW DID IT INSPIRE YOU?
Meditations from the Mat by Rolf Gates. I must have read it a hundred times and I will probably read it a hundred more.

WHAT DO YOU DO TO RELAX?
Haha... that's funny! This is definitely an area of opportunity for me! I recharge by spending time in nature with people I love - trail running, hiking, camping, adventuring!

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE CHALLENGES YOU OR YOUR INDUSTRY FACES, AND HOW DO YOU OVERCOME THOSE?
The biggest challenge that I face (and I think so many of us do) is busy-ness. I tend to take on way more than I can successfully balance. This applies to commitments in general and the number of things I put on my calendar per day.

I am working really hard to take time (24 hours) before I say yes to something, which gives me the opportunity to hold it up against my deepest commitments (and my calendar). I do a weekly brain dump, prioritization and calendar exercise. I am working on allotting more time per task than my initial estimate. I am also scheduling in rest/recovery and time for creativity.

WHAT IS ONE TREND IN YOUR INDUSTRY THAT EXCITES YOU?
I am super passionate about partnering with young adults (the Millennials and Gen Z, if you will) to navigate their career path and create a life aligned with values and vision. I work with so many amazing clients that really want to find their purpose and share it with the world. I am finding that most people want to make a difference more than make money and want to experience all that life offers, instead of just accumulating wealth. This really excites me!

WHAT IS THE ONE THING YOU DO EVERY DAY THAT ADDS TO YOUR SUCCESS?
I know its cliché, but I have a pretty rigorous morning routine. It includes meditation, fitness, gratitude and a prioritization/plan for the day.

WHAT TECHNOLOGY PRODUCT CAN’T YOU LIVE WITHOUT?
iThings - iPhone, MacBook.

PLEASE, FINISH THIS STATEMENT: LEADERSHIP IS...
being humble enough to be a lifelong learner, confident enough to empower others, and demonstrating the integrity it takes to truly inspire.
